This private residence is more than a home, it is a sensory sanctuary where the chaos of the outside world is filtered and transformed into absolute tranquility. The greenery of Posillipo’s hillside enters boldly through the large openings of the living area, with its natural branches becoming part of the interior landscape.
The entire project revolves around the repetition of a few refined, natural materials. The main thread is light open-pore wood, paired with nearly jointless travertine flooring and brushed steel that reflects and amplifies natural light.
The “Box Bar” serves as a deliberate counterpoint. The fluted glass that wraps around it is a precise technical choice: it ensures privacy, diffuses light with a theatrical quality, and encloses a historic bar passed down through generations.
This space acts as a mental “reset” at the end of the day, inviting one to be enveloped by its warm, restful tones and soft lighting.
